Welcome One and All

The Church on the Green opens our doors to all. We aspire to be a church that feels "like home" for a first time visitor, but that offers a lifetime of opportunities to grow in faith and service. We welcome seekers and lifelong Christians, single and married people, families of all configurations and children of all ages, dyed-in-the-wool Presbyterians and those who aren't even sure how to spell P-r-e-s-b-y-t-e-r-i-a-n but want to know Christ. We are united in our desire for an authentic faith expressed in acts of compassion and service. Could we be the church you've been looking for?

While our sanctuary is closed for renovations, we worship in our historic Parish House. Ample parking is available in the Board of Education lot on the corner of Broad St. and Belleville Av. The service begins at 10:45AM. All are welcome.

At worship on Sunday, March 23,we were delighted to welcome Carlos and Marsha James as new members of the church family, and to baptize Marsha and their three children, Cameron, Tron and Nevaeh. We welcome them to our fellowship with its rich diversity of backgrounds, language and cultures as, together, we weave a fabric of faithful discipleship on the Green.

On Saturday, December 7th the Christmas Festival took place at the Parish House. Children enjoyed making Advent wreaths, visiting with Santa and his elves, and hearing Santa read a very special storybook. Other highlights included book signing by our authors John Bonnet and Pastor Ruth, a stupendous bake sale, refreshments, and a variety of enticing offerings by local crafters and vendors.

Community Thanksgiving Service

A Community Thanksgiving Service took place on Sunday, Nov. 24, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Montclair, NJ. The event was sponsored by the synagogues and churches of Bloomfield, Glen Ridge, and Montclair, with participation from a number of religious leaders, including Pastor Ruth Boling who delivered the sermon. An offering was received to benefit Toni's Kitchen, a ministry of St. Luke's that helps meet emergency needs in the community.
